organisations affilliated with Hostelling International.
Beside those, various alternatives organisations have
been started, who claim to operate less restrictive sets
of regulations, compared to the "official"
ones. Meanwhile the "officials" have caught up
with the times. Beside the traditional dormitories an
increasing number of Hostels have four bedded, double and
twin rooms, even with en-suite shower/toilet. More often
than not there is no curfew and you get your own key of
the front door, when there is no night reception. Still
hostels remain relatively cheap and you easily meet other
travellers from all over the world. |
