This year's World Port Festival promises to become  yet again an event to remember.  The festival is celebrating its 40th edition this year. The Festival has lots to offer for tastes and ages. Here is a sample of the main elements: 

For all:
• Ship visits and tours
• Interactive presentations by port companies
• Excursions by boat, bus or train to the "real" port
• Spectacular demonstrations on the water

Kids under 12:
• Great Kids adventure square
• Hands on activities
• Demonstrations on the water ship visits by the Dutch Royal Navy and others

Excursions:
One of the key activities during the World Port Festival are the excursions to port operating companies, which give an on the spot experience of what goes on in a modern port like Rotterdam. 

Nautical Demonstrations:
Part of the festival where the audiences get a spectacular show of what port operating companies are able to do on and around the water. A special grand stand on Wilhelminapier offers a perfect vantage point. .
