Early September we
spent a week in the Finnish capital Helsinki. The city has a lot to
offer regarding architecture, culture, design, shopping, food and lots
more. Highlights were among others the
Lutheran Cathedral, the harbour, the Esplanade, tht Stockmann
department store, the
rock church, the Kiasmi museum for modern art, the Suomenlinna
fortresss and the Arabia centre. We made an excursion by rental car to
the historic town of Porvoo, about 50km East of the city.
